A few more empties!

I've been working hard at using up more products and I'm happy to report a few more finished products :)

Products:

First up is the Stila Illuminating Liquid Foundation in 50 watts

Review: This was my least favorite foundations. I bought it when I first started getting into makeup seriously so I blame my lack of knowledge. It is just too sheer for my taste. I needs a foundation that is at least medium coverage and full coverage is much preferred. What this foundation did do very well was give me a beautiful dewy glow. I did get a few compliments on my skin while wearing it so I would definitely recommend it to those of you who might not need a full coverage.

Up next: These guys finally dried up! It's the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara and Lash Primer

Review: I already have a full size of the mascara and I really loved the lash primer. Is a primer really necessary, no not for most people but it is a great product for people like me who always have at least one stray lash that refused to curl up with the rest, lol. I still don't use it everyday so I won't be repurchasing it but it's still a good one.

I also used up this sample of L'Occitane Amande milk concentrate

Review: It is a body cream, something that I am VERY picky about because of my eczema. This creme is quite divine and I think it definitely works even for those us us with eczema or sensitive skin. The downside is the price, it is $49 for 7oz from L'Occitane. Good thing I have a ton of body lotions at the moment. But if you've got the money, I would so recommend it :)

Have you guys used anything up? Let me know, empties are awesome (even when they are just samples)!

Haul time!

I couldn't help myself this week when I walked into CVS! Nouveau Cheap has a master list of all items on sale. Lots of 50% off!! Here is the link :Nouveau Cheap Blog CVS master list

I was not really interested in most of the items but Rimmel was to good of a deal. The 50% off was great plus I had a manufacturer coupon and $5 extra bucks

What I got:

Two Moisture Renew Lipsticks in 130 Coral Garden and 500 Berry Rose
Extra Wow Lash in Extreme Black
Stay Matte liquid Mousse Foundation in 300 Sand

If you need anything you should get yourself to a CVS near you! Seriously these lipsticks look great and they were half off. There are also a ton of awesome Milani and Revlon products.

First Impressions:

The only things I've tried is the lipsticks, they are creamy, glide on smoothly, and they are very pigmented. I will see about longevity but I am exited to play with them.

500 Berry Rose
130 Coral Garden
Mu lighting is not great but you can see how moisturizing they look and feel. They are also great natural looking colors on my. The berry color does look more berry in person but they are still very much my lips but better on my already pigmented lips.

Makeup Empties

I started getting into makeup seriously a little over a year ago and since then I have had a hard time using up products. I've just been trying a lot of things, which means that things don't get used on a daily basis enough, there are just too many things on rotation.

But alas, I have a few empties to share!

It cosmetics Hello Lashes mascara (mini)
NYX Le Frou Frou mascara
Smashbox High Definition Healthy Foundation

  • The It cosmetics mascara has a dryer formula and while I liked it the ball that's part of the brush want fell in the tube... so yeah not going to purchase the full size.
  • The NYX mascara is a really watery formula, that often transferred all over my face. I was able to use it up by layering it with the It cosmetics Hello Lashes but once again I will not be repurchasing it.
  • The Smashbox high-definition has been discontinued but this was one of my first high end foundations and a perfect color match, so I will miss it.
  • Bonus: the post it is also almost empty, used here to prevent the foundation from rolling away :)

Almost empty: A Stila foundation that I bought at the same time as the smashbox. I have maybe a day or two left out of it so I will make a separate post for it but spoiler alert I will not be repurchasing.

Current project:

I am currently trying to get through products that I know I won't repurchase. They are not bad, it's often just that I have found something better and just need to get these out of the way. So I have the Stile foundation, a Revlon Just Bitten Bissable balm stain in Honey Douce, and a No7 black eyeliner. What are you trying to finish up? And how awesome is that feeling of having used up an entire beauty products, pretty great!

May ipsy bag!!

My bag only had one makeup item but I am still pretty exited to try all the skincare and the one hair item. The best part of the bag is that all but one item are cruelty free!!

Let's get to it, this was my bag this month:

1. Balanced Guru No Frizz Oil: This is perfect for me. I have curly/wavy hair and I am actually in the process of switching to the curly girl method and I can add this oil to my routine guilt free.
2. Hang Ten Classic Sport Natural Sunscreen SPF 50: This guy is going straight into my purse :) I have been using two other natural sunscreens that I like but if this guys is as good or better it is so getting purchased.
3. Hey honey take it off Exfoliating Honey Mask: It is small but I am starting to get into masks so I will try it out within the week and will report back.
4. Pacifica Duo 2: So exited to try pacifica makeup! This brand has been on my radar because its a cruelty free, natural brand. It's just a bit pricy though quite widely available so I know if the duo is good I will for sure be trying out more of the brand
5. And lastly, Pur-lisse pur moist hydra-balance moisturizer. This is the one thing that does not labeled cruelty free and something I had never heard of before. I looked it up and Pur-lisse is a natural Asian brand! The full size of this guy is $55 Pur-lisse description

Correction: The entire bag is cruelty free!! After checking the pur-lisse website they say that they are vegan and cruelty-free. Yay!!!
